Waterfall Ways

Having been made redundant after working with the Princes Trust for many years Christopher Evans decided to go it alone and start his own business venture. With the help of a Start Up Loan, he set up Waterfall Ways, a family run, outdoor activities company in South Wales. The company base is in Glynneath, meaning that the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park is the setting for outdoor expeditions.

Waterfall Ways offers bespoke events and adventure days including gorge walking, bushcraft, archery and hill walking, as well as providing a catering service. Chris puts on events for both corporate (with common clients being local councils) and private parties with his largest being an Wedding that had over 200 attendees.

Already Waterfall Ways has eight staff, three of which work full time, despite having only been opened for a year, and already has some fantastic reviews from happy customers.

He is hoping to increase the tie in between his catering and events arms and currently has a franchise in a local golf club to provide food, which runs regular events to tie into Waterfall Ways. Chris has also been able to secure the catering contract for a national welsh golf event next year.

Going forward Chris is looking for his own premises and aims to continue to expand the business through word of mouth.
