Beware of scams

We are aware of scams coming from email and social media where people try to impersonate us. We will never ask you for money or your bank details. Learn more about what to look out for and how to protect yourself.

1 to 1 mentoring

Our 1 to 1 mentoring programme, delivered by Virgin StartUp, offers a more intensive and personalised support option for Start Up Loan recipients.

No matter what stage you are at, our mentoring programme offers you access to an experienced and independent guide to help you think through key business decisions.

To take advantage of 1 to 1 mentoring, we recommend you watch our 30-minute ‘Introduction to Mentoring’ recorded webinar. This webinar is designed to explain how mentoring works and help you get the most out of your mentoring relationship.

Watch our ‘Introduction to Mentoring’ webinar now to find out more about how our mentoring programme works.

Getting started with mentoring

If you are ready to get started with mentoring, please create an account on Virgin StartUp’s mentoring portal. Once you’ve done this, you will be asked to complete a short survey detailing what type of support you are looking for so that we can match you with a suitable Mentor.

Once you’ve been matched, it will be up to you and your Mentor to decide how you want to work together, how frequently you want to catch-up and what format works best (in person, over the phone or via online video like Skype).

If you have accessed your loan outside of these dates (but within the last 12 months) or through a different Delivery Partner and would like to request mentoring support, please contact your Delivery Partner and they will be able to assist.
