Joanna Hill appointed Start Up Loans acting CEO, Tim Sawyer to take up new role at Innovate UK
Tim Sawyer CBE has announced that he is leaving his role as Chief Executive Officer of the Start Up Loans Company (SULCo) after five years in post. Having taken the organisation from inception through to its recent merger with the British Business Bank, he will shortly join Innovate UK, the innovation agency sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, on secondment.
Joanna Hill, SULCo’s Chief Commercial Officer, has been appointed as Interim CEO with immediate effect, joining the SULCo Board and becoming part of the British Business Bank’s senior management team.
British Business Bank’s Managing Director for Lending Solutions, Judith Hartley, who will also become a SULCo Board member, is taking on additional responsibility for SULCo strategy as part of her role at the Bank.
The SULCo Board has begun the recruitment process to appoint a longer-term CEO.
