Simon Finch was granted a £9,000 Start Up Loan through Delivery Partner SWIG to start his shop fitting business Finch Installations.
After 11 years in the construction industry, Simon decided to set up his own venture after his company lost many of their contracts. He was approached by the installations manager who was in charge of reallocating these contracts, and took this opportunity to work on his business plan, and start his own company.
Finch Installations began in 2013 and now works not only across the country but also internationally, offering a range of services including signage, window displays, electrical installations and gondola shelving. They can even kit out old shipping containers, such as one they did for Superdry.
Simon has recruited a large team, and his company has exceeded all of his initial financial forecasts. He is contracted to some high-profile clients, including Sainsburys, TK MAXX, Iceland and Tesco, and is working on creating satellite warehouses to streamline his business, and expand Finch Installations.
“The help I received from my Start Up Loan Delivery Partner South West Investment Group, in particular John Peters, was and continues to be fantastic and above and beyond the standard that I had expected.”
